About the Author

David T. Morris is a seasoned educator with over four decades of experience. His passion for sports and education has led him to mentor countless student-athletes, guiding them to balance academics and athletics. With his decades of experience, Morris understands the challenges these students face and how they can overcome them. He holds a B.S. degree In Education from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and M.S. degree in Education and Athletic Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA which has allowed him to serve in various roles, including a teacher, professor, academic advisor, athletic administrator and head coach at the high school and collegiate levels. His book, Student-Athletes: Control Your Own Destiny, is a testament to his dedication to empowering student-athletes to take charge of their futures. Morris continues to inspire both on and off the field.
Morris was raised in Jamestown, RI and he and his wife presently live there. They have 2 sons, 3 grandchildren, and a golden retriever. His hobbies include sports, going to the beach, and enjoying time with family and friends.
